The Sports Broadcast Academy (SBA) is a career-focused sports media training program that prepares the next generation of professionals for careers in sports broadcasting, sports journalism, sports marketing, sports content creation, sports data analytics, live event production, and digital media.
Unlike traditional classroom programs, SBA combines hands-on instruction with real-world experience. Students don’t just learn about the sports industry—they actively produce live sporting events, create original digital content, analyze performance data, develop marketing campaigns, interview athletes and coaches, and build professional portfolios while covering high school sports across the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia region.
Student Broadcasting Training
We provide structured, hands-on training in sports broadcasting and production for high school, college students and recent graduates. Students learn: Camera operation & live streaming Sideline reporting & commentary Video editing & digital storytelling Interview skills & broadcast professionalism
High School Sports Coverage
We cover football, basketball, baseball, and more. Our student teams produce: Live game coverage Play-by-play commentary Post-game interviews Game highlights and reels shared across our media channels This gives schools, student-athletes, and communities a platform to showcase local talent.
Media Production Services for Schools
We offer customized broadcast and media production support to: Schools wanting to launch or expand media programs Athletic departments seeking game coverage Sponsors and community partners looking for youth media engagement From event production to branded content creation.
